Easol, which sells booking, payments and marketing software to festivals, venues and other experience businesses, raised $20 million in equity as an extension of its Series A, plus a $10 million debt facility from Viola Credit, the company said on October 28. Easol announced the two together as a $30 million round.
No lead investor was named for the Easol funding. The equity came from Y Combinator, Tiger Global, Foundation Capital, FMZ Ventures, Notion Capital and Eight Roads, and five of those six backed Easol's 2021 Series A, according to TechCrunch's report on that round. Easol put its total raised at $60 million and did not say how much of that is debt.
Ben Simpson, Easol's co-founder and CEO, said in the announcement that the platform was designed around ownership. “We built Easol to give experience businesses control over their entire business and bring their technology in-house,” he said.
What the money built
Easol said the funding paid for Teammates, AI agents that customers set up inside the Easol platform. The agents draw on the same live booking, payment, marketing and support data as the rest of the software, and handle support, sales and operations work.
Easol gave two examples. One customer's agent spotted hundreds of guests who had booked without buying any extras, about $50,000 in potential sales, and drafted the outreach to them. In the other, an agent took seconds to identify $28,000 in payments the business could recover, work that had previously taken two days.
Easol said the agents sit behind the security controls customers already use, such as single sign-on, audit logs and data residency settings, and that it has never sold customer data. New clients include Coachella, Stagecoach, Rapha, Swingers and Defected, the company said, and 2.8 million guests in more than 135 countries have booked through its platform so far in 2026.
What Easol's filings show
Easol did not say when the extension closed. Easol Holdings Inc., a Delaware company that names Ben and Lisa Simpson as directors in its filings, has filed three Form D notices with the SEC, which show when earlier money came in.

Easol has described its seed round as $4.5 million and its Series A as $25 million; the 2020 and 2021 filings reported $4.1 million and $23.2 million sold as of the dates they were filed. The company has not said whether the 2024 offering is part of the extension.
Who is behind Easol
Ben and Lisa Simpson started the company after co-founding Rise, a snowsports and music festival in the French Alps. Y Combinator backed the company in 2018, two years before it took the Easol name, according to its online timeline. Tiger Global led the $25 million Series A in 2021. Easol has offices in London, New York and Los Angeles.
